POSH SALON is an upscale hair salon in the heart of historic downtown Greenfield, Indiana. Sheila Faut, the owner of POSH, hired CCM to redesign her logo. Her previous branding was Posh Salon and Spa. She had a good grasp on what she wanted her new branding to look like. CCM was able to do some font research and pitch the right typography for the new logo. The lines in the new logo were clean and simple. CCM also designed new business cards for each hair stylist.
Indiana Skylights was a new startup. It was clear to us that we needed to create a brand that targeted a growing skylight market. They also needed a tagline that communicated what their product could do for a person. Earlier brainstorming sessions in the design process obviously included the image of their premier product, which is a tubular skylight. However, the more we thought it through, the more we realized that an abstract image of a roof was a better image for their brand. Choosing the right typography that emphasized the word “skylights” was a must have. The tagline, More Light, Better Life, embraces the ultimate mission and result that their product provides to their customers. CCM also developed a website and business card.
Family Bike Chain
Family Bike Chain is a full service bicycle shop located in Greenfield, Indiana. David and Mitch Doran, father and son co-owners, hired CCM to design their logo and website for their new startup. One of the “must-haves” they wanted for their new logo was to include their family pet and shop mascot, Sammy, their miniature schnauzer. We took up the challenge and went to work creating a brand that included Sammy. Another distinctive to their branding was to design a logo that was round in orientation. It was important to do this because we wanted to the brand to portray a bicycle wheel. When we designed their business card, a traditional rectangle business card wouldn’t do, it had to be a round business card.
The LandLord Coach is the consulting agency of Mark Dolfini. Mark shows struggling rental property owners how to set up a scalable business framework using the Process-Expectations-Behavior model. His book, The Time-Wealthy Investor, walks them through the how-to part of getting on top of their rental property business. The Landlord Coach hired CCM to design a logo and design a website. The logo needed to be simple. The colors needed to be professional. The typography needed to be modern. The result was a great brand that communicates perfectly to his target audience.
The Good Handy Man
Russell Goode is the “good” behind The Good Handyman. The Good Handyman is a small business that offers handyman services – flooring, drywall, kitchen remodels, room additions and more – to residential customers. Mr. Goode had no marketing when he came to the CCM team. The goal? Design a logo, a business card and setup a Facebook Page to get him up and going for his growing handyman business. CCM graphic designer, Ben Cross, knocked the branding design out of the park. The logo was very warm and engaging, and yet provided a very old-timey industrial feel, which was perfect for this home service startup.
